SNAP 2015, 3rd International Printmaking Symposium

SNAP 2015, the third international symposium to be held at Druckwerkstatt Kloster Bentlage in Rheine, Germany is set to examine questions concerning the subject Kunstraum Druckgrafik: Printmaking in Other Forms of Art . Specifically, it will address how various modes of expression in contemporary printmaking combine or overlap with other art disciplines, such as sculpture, painting, installation, film, paper art, and laser cut. It will also illustrate the increasing significance of the interaction of printmaking with other areas of art in fine art educational institutions in Europe and elsewhere. The symposium is a meeting point for professional, artistic, and international exchange. My presentation will examine the physical and conceptual properties of the frame in relation to print in art and print as art.
