DescriptionClimateXChange hosted an event in Edinburgh on November 8th 2013 to launch the recent ClimateXChange report, Community Energy in Scotland: the Social Factors for Success. Part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science, this event provided an opportunity to discuss the report's findings and their implications for the future of community energy in Scotland. The key findings of the report were presented by its lead author, Claire Haggett from the University of Edinburgh. Presentations reflecting on the report findings and the future of community energy in Scotland were also made by: • Chris Morris, Local Energy Scotland • Dr. Dan van der Horst, Senior Lecturer in Environment and society, University of Edinburgh • Calum Macdonald, Point and Sandwick Development Trust Delegates at the event included decision makers, community representatives and practitioners as well as academics.
