Description
Workshop as part of AHRC Network. Involved collaboration with Martin Parker (ECA), the Cameo Cinema, Edinburgh, the British Film Institute and the Scottish Screen Archive. Also included commissions to contemporary composers, and performances by "Professor" Mervyn Heard (of the Magic Lantern Society), as well and Caoimhe Doyle and Jean McGrath - foley artist and recordist (subsequently Oscar nominees). Five MSc Sound Design students were also involved in a Master Class with Caoimhe and Jean, culminating in a performance of live foley in the Cameo Cinema to a film, as part of a curated selection of films (and performances) in collaboration with the BFI and SSA.| Period | 13 Oct 2009 |
