“Speaking Out: Tackling Accent Bias at An Elite University” was the second conference designed to share experiences of accent bias and linguistic discrimination in higher education, as well as discuss some possible interventions.

The event included talks from the following speakers who are leading on issues of language, education, and social (in)justice:

- Dr. Karen Lowing, the University of the Highlands and Islands
- Dr. Alex Baratta, the University of Manchester
- Dr. Gisela Tomé Lourido, the University of Leeds
- The Robertson Trust

The event was concluded with a roundtable discussion that featured students, staff members, and EDI representatives.
