An invited talk to the Friends of Edinburgh University Library.

Dr. Angela Bartie and Dr. Eleanor Bell introduced and explored the seminal 1962 Conference through a selection of fascinating sources in The Writers' Conference Revisited: Edinburgh, 1962. Another 10 years on, for the 60th Anniversary of both the Conference and the Friends, Bartie and Bell will discuss the cultural legacy of the Conference and all its controversy. They will give a window into the action, both on and off stage, of the definitive literary event of the 20th century.
