Activity: Academic talk or presentation types › Oral presentation
Description
upils with disabilities or Additional Support Needs who have difficulty using ordinary examination papers or assessment can use digital question papers along with assistive technology to read the questions and to write or dictate their answers. In this session, Paul will show examples of digital exam papers and answer booklets on Windows, iPads and Chromebooks and discuss the practicalities of using these different devices. We will consider how students can use text-to-speech and other techniques to read questions, and tools such as speech-to-text and spelling supports to write and respond. While the session is focussed on SQA external examinations, it is also relevant for BGE and senior phase internal assessment.
