The ‘Art of Distributed Cognition’ project (ADC), inspired and informed by the ‘History of Distributed Cognition’ (HDC) research, will create a contemporary art exhibition, The Extended Mind, along with related events, workshops and resources. The aim is to illustrate and disseminate the insights and findings of HDC through the innovative work of 12 leading international artists. ADC benefits from a new collaboration with one of Scotland's leading visual art galleries, Talbot Rice Gallery (TRG), who have a track-record of making world-class exhibitions. Based on similar exhibitions, The Extended Mind is expected to reach over 4,500 people, with around 1,500 of these being engaged through events, tours and workshops.
