Travelling in the EU? – The Regulation of EU Passenger Rights

Activity: Academic talk or presentation typesInvited talk

With particular reference to air carriage, the talk explores the rights implemented within the EU in parallel to the international air law regime, putting the traveler in Europe in a much better position to obtain compensation for wasted time due to delay. Controversially, the ECJ has found a system to “circumvent” the exclusivity of the remedies enshrined in international air law treaties.
