Description
I was invited to attend UKRI’s Transforming Tomorrow Together event to hear about their first five-year strategy and how it catalysed an outstanding research and innovation system in the UK that gives everyone the opportunity to contribute and to benefit, enriching lives locally, nationally, and globally.
This event was part of a two-day programme of engagement in Dundee, with the focus on World Class Ideas. The programme explored the diversity of UKRI-funded research and innovation across Scotland and the conditions that make it thrive. From utilising the physics of light to develop new technologies, to developing science parks and creative clusters to support the transformation of ideas to outcomes to integrating local communities in the process of research; this event showcased the region’s role in the UK’s world class research and innovation system.
