The mission focus will be on profile-building, partnerships-scoping, transnational education, industry-engagement and building understanding within the UK-sector of the policy, demographic and cultural landscape for the creative industries in China. The delegates have also specifically requested to focus on recruitment and TNE partnerships.

The mission will be led by Nigel Carrington, Vice-Chancellor of UAL with Vivienne Stern, Director of UUKi, and will be structured around visits to institutions, government agencies, receptions and showcases in Shanghai and Wuhan. There will also be opportunities to link up with UKRI activity in Shanghai, and the option of joining the Business of Design Week in Hong Kong as a delegate immediately after this mission.
