    DescriptionBuddhism is a tricky religion to teach, for many reasons. One of these is the prevalence of terms and concepts that are alien to English-speaking Westerners and are often provided in multiple different spellings and with different explanations of their meaning. Some of this is inevitable: to learn about different ways of living and understanding the world means learning different words to describe these. However, the challenges involved are amplified by bad choices over what terms to teach pupils and in what language. What can we do to make things better?
