DescriptionUniversity of Edinburgh researcher Professor Catharine Ward Thompson, OPENspace research centre, in collaboration with Professor Rebecca Reynolds, Centre for Cardiovascular Science, and Dr Mat White from the University of Exeter's European Centre for Environment and Human Health, were invited to undertake a ground-breaking experiment for this television programme. We tested whether spending more time in nature improves your physical and mental health and demonstrated a beneficial effect, most noticeable where office workers increased their time in nature to make the total at least 120 minutes per week.
