Child Audiology in Scotland: NHS Lothian and what happens next

Press/Media: Public Engagement Activities

This blog provides parents and professionals with a plain English summary of the reports from the British Association of Audiology (December 2021). The blog is bilingual in English and British Sign Language. Other community languages are being added so that families can find out in detail what happened. The delays in identification of deafness in the Lothian region are likely to have long term repercussions for the deaf children affected in language delay.

This blog is to keep people up to date and explore the consequences for paediatric audiology services and deaf education in Scotland.
