Students who started on the Fashion – BA (Hons) programme this September have completed a joint project with National Museums Scotland in which they based illustrations on garments in their Fashion and Style gallery.
The intention of the project - which was set up by Emily Ford-Halliday, a Lecturer in Fashion at Edinburgh College of Art, and Georgina Ripley, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Fashion and Textile at National Museums Scotland - was to encourage the new students to think about how sketching, mark-making, illustration, and collage work form an important part of fashion design.
