Toxic pollutants invisible to the human eye are now killing more people than smoking. This was the alarming finding by researchers reported last week in the European Heart Journal. Professor Frank Kelly, director of the Environmental Research Group at King's College London, says although the longterm trend for PM2.5 emissions in the UK is downwards, this just isn't happening fast enough.
