Homicide statistics published by the Scottish Government

Press/Media: Research

Description

Professor Susan McVie commented on the most recent homicide statistics published by the Scottish Government on Tuesday 1st October.  The statistics showed that homicide in Scotland had fallen to a new low during 2012/13, dropping by a third in the last year alone from 93 to 62. This continues a sustained fall in homicide since about the mid 1990s. Professor McVie appeared on BBC Reporting Scotland, Newsnight Scotland, Radio 4's Today Programme and Good Morning Scotland to discuss the figures and comment on this interesting trend.  http://aqmen.ac.uk/node/837
