Repairs. This slogan is being heard more and more around the world. In Black Lives Matter demonstrations after the death of George Floyd, in rallies in support of Adama Traoré. The West's colonial and slave-owning past continues to hurt. Would reparations for slavery be the solution? We wanted to explore this utopia by focusing on the situation in two former French colonies: Guadeloupe and Martinique. Through a historic trial, that of some fifty descendants of slaves who took the French state to court in Fort-de-France.
