DescriptionThis article written for The Scotsman reports on the SPCA's educations teams recent initiative where they have teamed up with Robo Wunderkind which facilitates the provision of robotic parts so that children can build a robot animal that through coding can make animal noises and demonstrate that living animals have the same senses and responses.

Research in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh (which Dr. Joanne Williams is a principal researcher) has shown that the ‘Prevention through Education’ programme has impacted children's perception of animals as beings that have feelings and deserve to be treated with compassion.
