Following a meeting between some core researchers from CREID and the Commissioner for Fair Access, Professor Peter Scott, on the 14th February 2017 at the University of Edinburgh; CREID's research report 'Access in Scotland' for the project 'Access to higher education for people from less advantaged backgrounds in Scotland and the rest of the UK' commissioned by the Sutton Trust was referred to by the Annual Report of Professor Scott. This was featured by The Times in one of its leading articles 'Ancient Injustice: Access must improve so poor students can prove their abilities at leading universities' and a commentary by Daniel Sanderson 'Ancient universities told to lead efforts to attract poor Scots' on the 14th December 2017.
