Python script for the rotation of lines during compaction

A part of the supplemental material for “Metamorphic fabrics can be formed by stress without significant strain” by Gilgannon et al. (2023). This python script documents an example of the transformation of linear objects in a strain field. Equations used come from section 4-5 in Ramsay, J.G. (1967), 'Folding and fracturing of rock' and are explicitly defined in the python script as well as in section 5 of the supplemental material for the upcoming publication Gilgannon J., D.
