Research Facility, Grant Institute, Rooms 136 and 212.
This facility is devoted to the preparation and sample loading in diamond anvil cells (DAC), preparation of chemical analysis of recovered samples for FEG-SEM (e.g. hand polishing and ion slicing), and storage of DAC, samples, and tools.
The DAC itself is used to perform high-pressure and –temperature experiments on Earth-forming materials.
