Biography

Agustin is a political and economic anthropologist who specialises in the anthropology of Latin America and has conducted research among indigenous Guaraní settlements in the Argentine Gran Chaco region.  His research focuses on labour and unemployment, energy and extractive industries, welfare policies and democratisation among indigenous populations in Latin America.   

He is also interested in alternative economic paradigms, like wellbeing or degrowth, and is currenty exploring these themes in relation to Scotland's community energy sector.
