Personal profile

Biography

I am an early career researcher currently working at the intersection between cultural heritage and wellbeing. I am an archaeologist interested in wellbeing, and a counsellor interested in past ways of living.

After obtaining a PhD in Archaeology (2021) and a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy (2023), I seek to find interdisciplinary pathways between both disciplines. My research interests include tangible and intangible cultural heritage; experimental archaeology, traditional crafts and rewilding; identity and belonging; wellbeing, mental health and healthy ways of living; creative methods to access the past.

I currently work with the EU Horizon project INT-ACT Intangible Cultural Heritage: Bridging the Past, Present and Future (2024-26), exploring modern experiences of megalithic sites through qualitative methods and speech analysis to create digital outputs of intangible cultural heritage and understand their effect on the wellbeing of ageing individuals.

I have previously worked at The Open University with The Pride Rainbow Toolkit Project (2021-23, Promoting Resilience And Wellbeing Through Co-Design), developing and co-creating the digital wellbeing toolkit Oneself, aimed at fostering LGBTQ+ young people's resilience.

I have also supported the research network Women Make Cities (2021-22), and worked as a tutor with LEAPS and the History, Classics and Archaeology department at UoE.
