Personal profile


Dr Ana Morales is a Research Fellow in the Edinburgh Law School.  Ana is currently working in the ‘Safer Communities’ strand of the ESRC-funded Scottish Centre for Administrative Data Research (SCADR). Ana is an applied statistician with a background in Sociology and Public Policy. Her research interests encompass the use of quantitative methods for understanding inequalities in social phenomena with a special emphasis on violence, prisons, crime and recidivism.

Before joining the School of Law, Ana was a Research Associate in the Department of Social Statistics at the University of Manchester and the UK Data Service.
