Biography

Dr Ana Morales is a Research Fellow in the Edinburgh Law School.  Ana is currently working in the ESRC-funded Scottish Centre for Administrative Data Research (SCADR) and is the Co-I in the ESRC Project 'Disproportionality: Exploring the Nature of Ethnic Disparities in Sentencing' . Ana is an applied statistician with a background in Sociology and Public Policy. Her research interests encompass the use of quantitative methods for understanding social inequalities in social phenomena, with a special emphasis on violence, prisons, crime and recidivism.

Before joining the School of Law, Ana was a Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Sheffield.
