PhD projects

I welcome applications from well-motivated prospective PhD students with a strong academic background may be considered. Potential applicants must hold a 1st class degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant area and/or an MSc with Merit or Distinction. They must have interest in one or more of the following research areas, and must be able to prepare a project proposal on a topic within these areas.

Research areas: smart grids, demand-side management and response, distributed generation, renewable energy conversion and integration into the electricity system (including wind, solar, tidal and wave), energy storage, electric and autonomous transportation systems (including cars and underwater vehicles).
