Dr Bach is a Reader in Design Informatics and Visualization at the University of Edinburgh. His research designs and investigations into interactive information visualizations help people explore, present, and understand data. His focuses are: visualization of dynamic networks (e.g., social networks, brain connectivity networks); temporal data (e.g. changes in videos and Wikipedia articles, timeline events); comics, especially storytelling with visualization aspects; visualization and interaction in Augmented and Virtual Reality. Recently, he began collaborative work with neuro and gene-scientists and historians.
