MRS.
I grew up in Cumbria and spent my childhood riding and competing ponies, including representing England. When the time came to decide on a career it was always going to be with animals and I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 1998 while working in a mixed practice. I then spent a year travelling/working in Australia (as a RVN and Show Jumper) before returning to the UK to take up an employed role as a falconer in a conservation Centre where I had previously spent many years volunteering.
I moved to Edinburgh in 2002 to join the Dick Vet team, before having a break from nursing to try my hand at pharmaceutical territory management. After a few years, I returned to the Vet School to become the Veterinary Nursing Tutor, a role that has evolved into the Clinical Skills Teaching Fellow
