Biography

I am an ECAT Clinical Lecturer (Centre for Inflammation Research, Institute for Regeneration & Repair), and speciality registrar in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology.

Current Research Interests

  • Macrophage microbicidal responses against aerobic gram-positive cocci (Streptococci, Staphylococci, Enterococci).
  • Host-directed therapies for infectious diseases.
  • Staphylococcus aureus bacteraemia: clinical epidemiology; patient stratification; pathogenesis.
  • Covid-19: clinical characterisation and pathogenesis (ISARIC 4C and ICECAP).
