Research Interests

Dr Davies Adeloye is a medical doctor and epidemiologist. I obtained my PhD in 2014 at the University of Edinburgh under the Charles Darwin International Studentship. I returned to Nigeria to lead a small group in the epidemiology of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), focussing on Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. I recently developed NCDs data profile for Nigeria, a project commissioned by the WHO and Nigerian health ministry. I am a recipient of a number of awards including the AORTIC leadership institute, US Carnegie fellowship, NIH cancer global health fellowship, and AACR awards. I currently work at the Centre for Global Health, Usher Institute, leading research on the global, regional and national burden and risks of chronic respiratory diseases, including COPD and asthma. I also serve as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Global Health Reports.
