Biography

17 years' experience as a research nurse in phase I to phase IV commercial and academic trials. My role is Trial Manager for the clinical team of research nurses in Edinburgh Clinical Trails Unit (ECTU). This includes planning and co-ordinating the clinical activity in realtion to implementing research protocols and maximising recruitment for several trails located in both primary and secondary care. All trails adhere to ICH GCP gudelines. Part of my role is to also ensure that the research nurses have the appropriate training and to act as a mentor in realtion to study related activities. I am also involved in the ECTU operational structures and processes.
