Personal profile

Biography

I completed my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2018 and was honored to receive the UK Government Scholarship in 2019, allowing me to pursue my Master's in Public Health (MPH) at the University of Aberdeen. My experience in the field of public health served as a profound inspiration, fueling my passion for research and innovation in healthcare. Presently, I am serving as a doctor in the Internal Medicine department at General Hospital Trincomalee, concurrently specializing in Family Medicine at the University of Edinburgh.

My research interests primarily revolve around three key areas: Primary Health Care, Digital Health, and Adolescent Health. I possess a diverse range of quantitative research skills, including proficiency in large data analysis, R coding, conducting cross-sectional studies, and a deep understanding of human behavioral science. My primary research focus lies in utilizing population-based epidemiological and clinical data to identify risks and prognostic outcomes. This knowledge helps in comprehending and enhancing health services and community-based care.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I find joy in digital arts, graphic design, and the art of cooking South Asian cuisine.
