Biography

Efa graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), London in 2010 and initially worked in general practice before completing a one year rotating small animal internship at the RVC. After a further short period in general practice, Efa moved to the USA to undertake a three year residency in Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) at the University of Minnesota. She successfully gained her Diploma from the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Medicine in 2016. Following her residency, Efa joined the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois as a clinical faculty member in ECC. Efa returned to the UK in October 2017 to join the team at the University of Edinburgh. Efa enjoys all aspects of Emergency and Critical Care. Her clinical research interests include sepsis, electrolyte abnormalities and coagulation disorders.
