Elena Sanz Ortega

Elena Sanz Ortega holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting (University of Málaga), an MSc in Translation Studies with Distinction and a PhD in Translation Studies at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Granada. She worked as a translator and reviewer in a translation agency before going back to academia. She started working as a Teaching Fellow in Hispanics in 2012.

Dr Sanz Ortega has wide experience teaching Spanish language and literature for all undergraduate levels. She has also contributed to the MSc in Translation Studies by teaching in courses such as Translation and Technology in the Workplace and Portfolio of Written Translation Exercises in Spanish. Similarly, she has helped to organise a Translation Research Summer School (TRSS) for PhD students and the International Postgraduate Conference in Translation and Interpreting (IPCITI).
