Biography

Eoghan graduated from the University of Manchester with a BSc. (Hons) in Computer Science in 1995. Later he joined the Psychology Department of the University of Warwick as a computer technician and programmer, to explore how computing could be used in an educational context.

In early 2001, Eoghan joined Zonic Ltd., a Berkshire-based software engineering company, as a programmer. Following a short stint as an EFL teacher in Nicaragua, he took up a post at the Northampton branch of NotSchool.net, a project aiming to provide an online education to young people who, for a variety of reasons, were not in school.

Eoghan joined the University of Edinburgh in 2009, working on a small project based in the School of Divinity, exploring the possibilities of sharing online resources. In early 2010, he moved to the Veterinary School as an eLearning Developer with special responsibility for the undergraduate programme.
