Personal profile

Biography

I am a glaciologist with a broad range of skills in survey methods and data interpretation, and a particular interest in the application of geophysical methods in glaciology. My current research is focusing on the ice sheet stability in polar regions and the interaction with the Earth system, with a particular interest in the West Antarctic subglacial hydrology and its basal processes. My workflows include the collection, analysis, and interpretation of polar/ice-sheet geophysical data with a specialisation in ground-based radar geophysics and an additional background in satellite remote sensing.

Currently, I am appointed as a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) at the University of Edinburgh working with Professor Rob Bingham in The International Thwaites Glacier Collaboration (ITGC), particularly within the Geophysical Habitat of Subglacial Thwaites (GHOST) group.

I also enjoy outdoor activities and nature, particularly the mountains and forests.

Education/Academic qualification

Glaciology / Geophysics, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Characterising the ice-water-bedrock interface of Ellsworth Subglacial Highlands, West Antarctica, Durham University
