Biography

Gavin is Chancellor's Fellow in the School of Physics and Astronomy and in the School of Engineering.  His group uses a combination of experiments and simulatins to investigate collective behaviours in microbial systems such as bacterial biofilms and aggregates. More recently his group have been focusing on the biophysics of environmentally relevant microbes such as those in wastewater treatment.
