Personal profile

I am a Research Associate at the Centre for Research on Environment, Society and Health (CRESH) working on an ESRC funded project exploring how environments throughout life can support healthy ageing. My work utilises markers of biological, cognitive and brain ageing from Lothian Birth Cohort 1936 and information on participants’ environmental circumstances across their life course.

I completed a PhD in Human Geography at the University of Edinburgh, where I explored how residential characteristics such as crime, social cohesion and air pollution are linked to mental health. I hold a Master in Psychology from the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and a Master in Public Health from the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Prior to joining the University of Edinburgh, I worked on various projects on occupational health and psychiatric epidemiology at academic institutions in Germany and in the UK.

In addition to my research activities, I am consultant at the World Health Organization and an Early Career Representative at the Society for Longitudinal and Lifecourse Studies.
