I am an experienced Interior Designer and Educator, with extensive knowledge of commercial practice and project delivery.

I have taught at both Masters & Under-graduate level, at several Scottish Institutions, including Glasgow School of Art, Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee, and Edinburgh College of Art, and in addition have delivered online teaching for The Interactive Design Institute. I have been involved in the development and expansion of new programmes, writing course content and support materials.

In addition to my recent academic posts, I have over 18 years of professional commercial experience in Interior Design & Project Management inclusive of Concept Design: Drawing Packages: Statutory Approvals: Site Acquisition & Landlords Negotiations: Design & Specification: FF&E: Brand Implementation: Client liaison & Presentation: Contract Administration: Handover & Snagging.

About the group

Design(ing) Stories group has a broad interest in narrative and storytelling which incorporates process, practice and structure. 

We are interested in how and why we tell stories in and through visual and material culture.

We have a multi-disciplinary approach to research with perceived outputs in talks, workshops, collaborative research and, eventually, new courses.
