Biography

Harvey Dingwall is an artist/illustrator who is interested in the value of drawing. In particular his research is a critical enquiry into the relationship of digital media on drawing and it’s impact on learning and teaching.

Harvey has lectured and taught at Edinburgh College of Art full time for 9 years. Before this he was a visiting lecturer at a number of other Colleges and Universities. He lectures in Visual Communication and teaches in a broad range of disciplines including; Illustration, Fashion, Performance Costume and Architecture.

Harvey has a Masters from the Royal College of Art and prior to this he studied at Chelsea and Camberwell Colleges of Art. He also has a PGcert in learning and teaching from London College of Fashion.

He draws, paints and photographs often resolving through a digital process. He has produced illustration work for major publications and companies, as well as film and TV including productions for BBC and Channel Four. He has exhibited both in UK and in group shows in France, Denmark, US and Tblisi, Georgia. He has recently presented on creative collaborations and drawing apps in London and New York.
