I am an honorary researcher at Centre for Medical Informatics, Usher Insitute. My main job is a Professor of Health Informatics and AI at School of Health and Wellbeing, University of Glasgow. I also hold an honorary Associate Professor of Health Informatics position at Institute of Health Informatics, University College London. Due to historical reasons, I work closely with colleagues in Usher and other departments at Edinburgh University. My own research group - KnowLab - is partly based in Edinburgh. I also co-lead the Edinburgh Clinical NLP group. My main funded project at Edinburgh is WP3 of Advanced Care Research Centre: Enhancing the Data Infrastructure. I also work closely with eDRIS of Publich Health Scotland on the Scottish Medical Imaging project (processing its free-text structured reports).
