Biography

I graduated in 2006 with an upper second class BSc in Biology from Aberdeen University. From here I progressed into the field of Microbiology, working as a Laboratory Technician for Arla Dairy.

I joined the University of Edinburgh as a Research Technician in the Neurobiology Division of the Roslin Institute, under the supervision of professor Nora Hunter, in 2008. I continued in this post until March 2014 when I joined the Easter Bush Campus Health and Safety Team.

I currently work as Biological and Laboratory Health and Safety support, supervised by the campus Health and Safety manager.

My current role is to provide general Health and Safety advice to all members of staff at the Easter Bush campus (both the Royal (Dick) School of Vetinary Studies and the Roslin Institute), with a specific emphasis on Biological and Laboratory Safety.
