Accepting PhD Students
Inês Lima joined the University of Edinburgh in 2022. She holds a BA in Modern Languages (Portuguese and English) with a specialization in teaching from the University of Porto and an MA in Lusophone Studies from the University Paris 3 – Sorbonne Nouvelle. She completed a PhD in Luso-Afro-Brazilian Studies and Theory at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Her dissertation focuses on the poetry of Ana Luísa Amaral from a queer and ecocritical perspective. Before coming to Edinburgh, she taught at the California State University, Fresno.
Ecocriticism, intertextuality, gender studies, queer theory, postcolonial studies, migration and mobility, literary theory, comparative literature, visual cultures.
