Biography

Josef Priller is the Professor of Neuropsychiatry at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the Chair of Brain Inflammation and Repair at the University of Edinburgh and UK DRI. He graduated from the Technical University of Munich, and obtained his M.D. at the Max-Planck-Institute of Psychiatry. He performed his residencies in neurology, psychiatry and psychotherapy at the Charité in Berlin. 

Research Interests

He combines basic research in neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration with clinical work on movement disorders and dementias. He is particularly interested in Huntington’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and frontotemporal dementias.
