Administrative Roles

I am the Undergraduate Talent Lead and Programme Director for Data-Driven Innovation in Health and Social Care. Together with a team of colleagues, we are working on upskilling students and professionals in data science, to enable them to use data more effectively for improving the health and wellbeing of citizens.


I lead the Y2 Research and Evidence Based Medicine course for medical students and I am the programme director for a BMedSci in Data Science for Healthcare (currently in preparation). I also contribute to teaching on the MSc in Data Science for Health and Social Care.

Research Interests

My research focuses on three main topics:

  • How can psychology be used to help people behave in healthier ways, and especially to eat healthier?
  • What characteristics of the self and identity make people happier and healthier?
  • What can we as educators do to support students to learn more effectively and become more engaged in the learning community?
