8/2008–9/2013, PhD, Dissertation: Efficient Language Modeling Algorithms with Applications to Statistical Machine Translation, Carnegie Mellon.
9/2003–3/2007, Bachelor of Science, Double major in Mathematics and Computer Science with Honours, Caltech.
Kenneth Heafield, a Lecturer at the University of Edinburgh, makes natural language processing scale to trillions of words and wrote the KenLM toolkit for language modeling. Previously, he helped setup Bloomberg's academic grant program and worked at Stanford as a postdoctoral scholar.
