Biography

Kirstie O'Hare is a research fellow based in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Edinburgh and an adjunct research fellow at UNSW Sydney. Her research interests include investigating outcomes for children and young people who attend mental health services as well as more broadly understanding risk factors and developmental pathways to mental illness for young people, particularly for psychosis and self-harm. She uses large-scale longitudinal cohort data and administrative record-linkage data from Wales, Scotland, Australia, and Finland to investigate these questions.
