Personal profile

With more than ten years of experience in the field of hydrology, Mano's special interests are centred around hydroinformatics. Most of his work involves the use of advanced statistical analyses to better understand the hydrological processes. This includes uncertainty analysis of hydrological models, and geostatistical and time-series analysis of hydro-meteorological data. His current work at Tomorrow's Cities project involves statistical analysis of hydro-meteorological data including time-series forecasting.

Mano's PhD at The University of Sheffield was part of Marie Curie ITN - Quantifying Uncertainty in Integrated Catchment Studies (QUICS). He investigated the spatiotemporal variability of rainfall and its effect on urban water quality. His previous post-doctoral research experience comes from Cranfield University where he was part of the EPSRC project - Emergency Flood Planning and Management using Unmanned Aerial Systems. Mano did his MSc in Flood Risk Management with a dissertation focusing on improving flood forecasting using an error prediction model that was based on his work at DHI, Denmark.
