Personal profile



I am a Senior Lecturer in Finance at the University of Edinburgh Business School. I previously held a lectureship position in the School of Accounting and Finance at the University of Manchester (Alliance Manchester Business School) and Graduate Teaching assistant and research assistant positions in the department of Accounting and Finance, at the University of Exeter.  My research interests span the areas of accounting and finance with a particular emphasis on tests of market efficiency, capital markets research.  My teaching interests are in accounting and finance, where I taught in the past: Principles of Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Modeling,  Behavioural Finance & Market Efficiency, Analysis of Corporate Financial Information and Foundations of Finance Theory to both Postgraduate and Undergraduate students. I currently teach Behavioural Finance and Market Efficiency (Honours elective) and Introduction to Financial Markets (1st year core course) to Undergraduate students. I also supervise UG dissertations and PhD students in the following research areas:

Capital Market Anomalies (Value/Momentum, Post-Earnings Announcement Drift, Accruals, Net Equity Issuance Anomaly)
- Asset Pricing
- Empirical Corporate Finance (M&A activity, IPO's)
- Market Based Accounting Research
