Biography

Marianne has 20 years experience in active research and research lab management and has been the Head Technician at a small industrial company with line management responsibilities.

Marianne is currently a research technician within Professor David Gally's lab where she investigates interactions between bacteriophages and E.coli isolates from urinary tract infections.

Administrative Roles

Prior to her employment break in industry due to redundancy, Marianne sat on the Technical Steering Support Group (TSSG) which is a committee originally set up by the Department of Social Responsibility & Sustainability to address the professional and career development needs of technical staff. Marianne now represents technical staff on the Career Development Committee (research branch) at The Roslin Institute.
